Cris

In memory of Cristiana Benedetti Fasil, who was President and co-founder of SVAfrica. Driven by curiosity, passion and a desire to do something meaningful, Cristiana has been involved in different activities in Africa with the aim to empower women and spur entrepreneurship. Most importantly, Cristiana was a driving force in the creation of Lady Volta Green Tech Academy in Ho together with Christiane Milev, President of our close partner Village Exchange Ghana. She received a Ph.D. in economics from the European University Institute and worked as a researcher on growth and entrepreneurship for the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission.

 

Christoph Bertsch is President, Member of the Board of Directors and co-founder of SVAfrica. Christoph’s believes in empowerment through education and his interest is in technology lead Christoph to focus his attention on the technical developments and implementation of the renewable energy competence center, beside sharing planning and managing responsibilities. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from the European University Institute and works as a researcher on banking and finance at the Swedish Central Bank.

 

Ema Iancu is  Chairman of the Board of Directors of SVAfrica.

 

 

Teodora Borota Milicevic is Secretary and Financial Manager, and Member of the Board of Directors of SVAfrica.

 

 

IN GHANA

Confidence Coffie is the Manager of the Lady Volta Green Tech Academy (LVGTA) since February 2019. He holds a degree in Accounting. Prior to joining LVGTA, Confidence gained experience in management, accounting, teaching, grass root (youth) mobilization, project implementation among others. Confidence is determined to further advance the development of the renewable energy competence center. He has a passion for youth development and believes renewable energy is the future; the effective and efficient way of conserving and sustaining the environment and nature for the current and future generations.

Senyo Kofi Agbleze is advisor of SVAfrica and designated member of the Board of Directors of Fondazione Cristiana Benedetti Fasil. He has been Manager of the Lady Volta Green Tech Academy (LVGTA) from 2015 till 2018. He holds a degree in Ports and Shipping Administration. Working in a very challenging environment in rural Ghana in 2013 gave him a first-hand experience of the plight of the disadvantaged. Poised to address this challenge, he is engaged in social work to contribute to their empowerment. With Senyo’s believe that this vulnerable group could be empowered through education and entrepreneurship, he joined the LVGTA in 2015 and played a key role in the development of the renewable energy competence center.
