Here you can see the smart meter designed by our fantastic solar expert Julien. It allows us to monitor the performance of solar systems in rural communities. Another feature is that our beneficiaries can remotely top up their solar systems with credit for servicing fees, using cell phone mobile money. Cell phone mobile money is widely used in Africa and allows for financial inclusion of disadvantages populations.
We want to use this opportunity to thank Julien for his phenomenal work during the last 18 months as a volunteer of our partner organization Village Exchange Ghana!! With his leading role as a solar system developer and trainer, Julien allowed the Lady Volta Green Tech Academy to make a big leap forward.
